Intro- Stephanie Vena
Hello Everyone,
My name is Stephanie, I'm 27, just married and am a brand new mom to a baby girl! She is 7 months old today! :) Although I was born and raised in Orlando, I currently live in Melrose, a small town outside of Gainesville. I love hanging out watching my daughter grow, playing World of Warcraft, reading, learning, going on walks and spending time with my family and friends. I love going to farmer's markets and trying to eat healthy (notice I said "trying"). I love chocolate and thai food! I have two dogs. A Bassador named Ally and a Jack Russel named Buddy- they are bad kids! :)
My areas of concentration are Humanities and BSS and my minor is Writing. Look forward to blogging with you all!

Hello and welcome Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your baby girl! :-) I have great admiration for those who go through school with children, especially new-borns. I have enough difficulty with getting through my classes and working. I'm absolutely exhausted by the end of the day, so I can only imagine how you and Michael must feel when the day is through. Or even halfway through the day :-) Good for you!
With your areas of concentration and your minor combined, you must do a lot of writing. I considered a minor in Literature or Writing because those are two of my absolute favorite subjects, but I wasn't sure I could keep up with all of the papers. Once again, I bow down to you.
Have you taken any classes for your areas of concentration that have been particularly interesting to you?
Molly

ReplyDeleteMolly- I don't have it that bad. I am fortunate- I get to stay home with my baby and go to school half time. It does get challenging but you won't hear any complaints from me!
ReplyDeleteYes, I took a philosophy class last sem and it held my interest. And I am taking an Advanced Expository class in Summer B, my first writing class- I am pretty excited!
Mike- Yeah, World of Warcraft is pretty addicting but oh so fun! My hubby loves it. Of course with the baby my playing time has cut down.
On the baby front- if you have pets watch out, and make sure you strap the baby in when she starts using the highchair. Mine fell out of if yesterday, head first! Oh the horror!! Poor lil thing has a bruised nose! Luckily, she is fine though.
I took a few Philosophy classes with Shelley Park that I enjoyed quite a bit. I think the one that I really liked was Ways of Knowing. Have you taken it?
ReplyDeleteGoodluck with your writing class! I absolutely love writing, but I found it very difficult to keep up with all of the papers. I read at lightning speed, but it takes me quite a bit longer to organize my thoughts and make them coherent. :-)
By the way, I absolutely love WoW!!
No, I have not taken Ways of Knowing but it sound really interesting! So far, I have not had too many papers to do but I have not really gotten into the writing classes yet so we will see.
ReplyDeleteI really like WoW too, what server are you, what character do you play?
I haven't actually been able to play for almost a year now. I was playing on Shattered Hand and I had several characters, but I had a level 60 night elf that I absolutely loved playing. I haven't been able to justify the time for a while now, though. I'm hoping that upon graduation I can find more time for stuff like that.
